The Ministry of Finance and Economic Development is a ministry within the cabinet of the Government of Ethiopia. It is responsible for the general budgetary administration and economic policy of Ethiopia, in addition to the allocation of economic assistance. The Ministry of Finance currently has around five thousand people under employment.

The Ministry of Finance knew they needed the best when they decide to establish Networking and Security infrastructure in the existing data center for monitoring and managing the e-GP System. On a tender issued by the Ministry of Finance, IE Network Solutions came in as the winning bidder. In April 2021, IE Network Solutions signed a contract agreement with the Ministry of Finance, contracted to supply, install, and commission network infrastructure and related hardware for the Ethiopia e-GP System.

This project was initiated by the Ministry of Finance in order to establish a Networking and Security infrastructure in the existing data center for monitoring and managing the e-GP System, setting up NOC systems, and guaranteeing accessibility and state-of-the-art security for the Federal Public Procurement Authority (FPPA).

The scope of the project includes:

• Supply, Implementation, and commission of Firewalls with license.
• Supply, Implementation, and commission of Security Management Software
• Supply, Implementation, and commission of Core witches and Distribution switches with licenses
• Supply of SFP modules
• Supply and Installation of 42U Racks and
• Supply and Installation of 10 Kva UPS

The IE Networks’ team went to work and made sure that the Networking and Security infrastructure was up to par. They set up NOC systems and made sure that accessibility and state-of-the-art security were guaranteed.IE Networks was responsible for ensuring that the system was up and running smoothly.
