The Ministry of Agriculture is just one amongst our long list of satisfied customers. The Ethiopian Ministry of Agriculture was established in 1907 in Addis Ababa. The Ministry is responsible for the country’s agricultural and rural development policies, in addition, it is also responsible for conserving wildlife resources, food security, water usage, small-scale irrigation, and providing rural innovation and technology training. The Ministry has been struggling to keep up with the latest technologies. Productivity has been lagging and they were constantly looking for ways to increase efficiency. They finally decided to invest in our state-of-the-art technology and solutions. The results have been amazing! They have been able to increase productivity and efficiency with our easy-to-operate systems.

In August 2020, IE Networks and Silicon networks jointly made a contractual agreement with the Ministry of Agriculture for the supply and delivery of Management Information Systems (MIS) hardware servers and Hyper-converged Infrastructure. When it came to data management, the ministry knew that it needed to upgrade its infrastructure and  IE Networks is the one with a lot of experience in designing and implementing data-centric infrastructure and has worked with many government organizations, so the Ministry of Agriculture knew that it would be in good hands. This project was initiated in order to create a more flexible, scalable, and on-premise data-centric infrastructure. The Solution Dell Networking S4128F-ON database switches and Dell EMC VxRail P570 HCI Hyper-converged infrastructure was successfully implemented from our titanium level partner Dell as a vendor. The project’s lifespan was less than one year and it was conveyed as planned. The project was completed on time and under budget.
